Legend is more like it... John Henry and Paul Bunyan weren't Gods... but they were legends....

Ryan Sonner is well past both John Henry and Paul Bunyan. Hell, Ryan Sonner would eat Babe the blue ox for dinner.

    you aren't the first...

I do hope, whomever Julio poaches, that he plays poker A) better than Julio and B) knows how to play, which would put him one up one Frierson...
Super 6 card game hits the table at the house past the house on the hill at 11 p.m. the Thursday night of the football finals.

I don't think I know you SixToe, but you're dead to me.

And to answer your question, Callaghan's has unquestionably the best hamburger in town. NoJa (short for North Jackson) is easily the best full meal in town. Felix's on the Causeway has some of the best seafood in town. Wintzell's has the best oysters on the 1/2 shell. For lunch, try Cafe 219. It's delightful and has some outstanding potato salad.

I've got plenty more recommendations should they be needed.

Don't know about Florence food, sorry. Nor do I know about Chattanooga food. But I might know something about food from where the guy comes from the Julio poaches.

Ah, Fuerte, don't be so murderous.

Mobile is nice. I like it except in July and August. Slappy was the one trying to steer things clear of Mobile.

I was not... I was just trying to keep this going in a progression.
    First it was about Mobile.
Then, as Mobile hired a guy from Chattanooga, it became about Chattanooga.
Chattanooga, with the third pick overall, drafted John Frierson of Florence.
Now that Florence is on the clock, it's about Florence.
When Julio steals a writer from another city, it will be about that city. And so on, and so on....

My apologies. I didn't mean to break protocol.

Back to Florence until this Julio guy finds someone.

Took the wife to Dale's for our second wedding anniversary. At the table, I brought out a diamond ring guard (which works wonders to enhance diamond rings purchased on a broke man's pay) and asked if she would marry me again. At that very moment, the water came to the table, thought he had interrupted an original proposal, and turned redder than the rarest steak in the house.
