Alex Trebek/Jeopardy Tribute Thread

Down. Goes. Frazier.

 

Just makes Jennings’ streak all the more impressive. Amodio was barely halfway there. Still an incredible run.

 

It was a hard game tonight. I thought the questions were a little harder than average and those other two players were good on the buzzer. And Matt looked a little lost. It was a great run.

 

My mom hated Matt. Visceral.

I haven’t watched regularly since Alex died. Just can’t get into it.

 

He did seem kind of out of it. It's a Monday, so today would have been the first show of the day, so maybe he wasn't feeling well. That being said, I didn't expect him to lose to John C. Reilly.

 

As soon as that guy was introduced, I thought, uh oh, this guy could be trouble. He’s got a big head.

 

We may be brothers. My mom has spent months sending vitriolic texts about her hatred for Matt.

 

I disliked him early on. But after the break they took and he came back, I thought he was much better. I think he must have watched himself on TV and saw how dour and unlikable he was.

 

Funny I thought replacing Alex would be a monumental task, but I find I don't really care who hosts. Maybe I'm just tired of the story by now.

 

I think Miyam does a really good job - funny, seems happy to be there, without having an over the top "kindergarten teacher" vibe, like some of the other hosts had. Faber was still my favorite, because he had a kind of dry humor about it, but he hosted late and only for one week.

 

This is my sentiment as well. I think Miyam is competent. And I don't mean that as a backhanded compliment. She is super competent that I forget she is there, and that is a good thing.
That game last night was one of the most exciting game shows I ever watched, my wife and I were glad to see Matt go down as well. I didn't notice her at all until the sign off, and that is a good thing.

 

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought he looked like him!

And yeah, last night was a fun episode with three strong players. The key was Matt never found a Double when he was rolling early, and the other two contestants were pretty quick on the buzzer.
