A first ballot Hall of Fame dumb bet in FJ tonight.

The look on her face after, too.

The two challengers had the least amount of telegenic quality I've ever seen. Wow.

These players have been watching for over 20 years. How do they not know how to bet? All the long time winners in the past 20 years have brought new strategy. Pay attention.

If one of my kids is watching with me, I always pause before FJ to ask them to tell me what each player should bet. I think my 9th grader almost threw something at the TV when he saw Raquel’s bet.

Raquel's bet was based on the champ not answering the clue correctly? Weird.

And not that the contestants knew the question before betting but it was one of the easiest final Jeopardy questions this year.

Her bet was a no win, regardless of what the champ bet. The only way she could have won is if the champ bet far in excess of what she needed to cover a successful bet by Raquel. Otherwise, it was lose-lose.

As to FJ, having never seen any of those movies, I guessed correctly, but it was a guess.

Has anybody been watching the Jeopardy Masters tournament this week, hosted by Ken Jennings in the hour after the regular Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune shows?

It's been really good, and fun knowing that everybody on is really good. The contestants are definitely challenging and battling each other, but all in good fun and they seem to really be enjoying themselves, too.

I've really enjoyed it. The champs are so good, they are likable, they play sooooooo fast, know everything (one of the games last night went almost halfway through Double Jeopardy before the three were stumped) and Ken is really smooth.

I feel like the clues have been mostly really difficult (some of the geography stuff is insane), and these people kill it. Really good.

I'm watching. And made a wager to my spouse as to the absolute final contestant. My bet is Holzhauser, not because of his knowledge, but willingness to bet on himself by going "all in".

I've been marveling at what all they know, too. I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am. I agree with you about the clues, and have even wondered if perhaps they've even been tailored a bit to an especially tough, brilliant field -- you know, making the questions worthy of Jeopardy masters.

The gambler from Las Vegas is still pretty amazing and the woman from Canada is still annoying.
