If Keyshawn got a good quarterback to "throw him the damn ball" like McNabb, I think he could put up some good numbers. Delhomme did him no service as well as Bledsoe who was one concussion away from death.

Let it go Mayfly. It's not going to happen no matter how much you want. Let's move on.

What happens to Moats? He rarely sniffed the field last year and now Tony Hunt is the team's "big back" with Buckhalter the change of pace back behind Westbrook. I think the Eagles will shop Moats and get whatever they can for him.

Moats is gone...I think he was packing his bags when they drafted both RBs. He has no part on the Eagles. Mahe and Moats should be gone or Moats should be practice squad.

Mahe was a free agent that they had no interest in bringing back although it wouldn't shock me to see him come back during training camp. No way Moats is a practice squad player. Another team would pick him right off that. The Eagles' best bet is to try and trade him although I don't think they could get much for someone who has barely played.

As far as Keyshawn goes, let's go by the numbers.

In his last four full seasons (excluding the year he was parked by Gruden), his receiving yardage has declined every year, from a peak of 1266 yards in 2001 to 815 last year, a drop of 36 percent.

His yards per catch has fallen 19 percent since 2002.

He hasn't made a play longer than 40 yards since 2002.

In his last six seasons, he's never had more than six touchdowns in a season.

    He'll be 35 this summer.

His 11.6 yards per catch last year was worse than Reggie Brown, L.J. Smith, Hank Baskett, Greg Lewis and Matt Schobel. Hell, it's only .5 yards better than what Correll Buckhalter averaged.

In the context of the Eagles, he is the answer to a question no one asked.

Moats is a very poor man's Brian Westbrook. Unfortunately he doesn't fit into the Eagles' plans. Hopefully he'll find a place to land and spread his wings (pardon the pun). The Eagles have way to many running backs now. Would you rather have Hunt or Iiola?

Hunt hands down. I think he's just a football player. He dropped a round b/c he ran bad 40s at his pro day, but the guy can play. He fumbled too much last year too, but I think that can be corrected. And he can catch the ball. He actually played WR at PSU as a freshman b/c Austin Scott was the starting RB.

I think they are going to mold Iiola into a FB. That would be pretty menacing on short yardage. Iiola and Hunt coming down the gut.

Moats might very well be the odd man out. Ronde Barber knows the Eagles' offense better than he does.

  10. I haven't written Moats off. If he can bear down and get himself onto the field he'll break off a couple of runs and immediately be considered dangerous. But lord, he needs to learn special teams.

They drafted a running back and a fullback. They brought back Buck. Moats is toast.

I would like to have him as kick returner, but Bloom already has that and Bethel Johnson. The women of Philadelphia will castrate Andy Reid if Bloom is taken off that duty.
