Looks like they're going to release Bloom. What a waste of a fifth-round pick. That draft has just been horendous up to this point.

 

While I'm at it (from the Harrison thread), I think it's worth noting that if the team at the end of this thread's title was P-A-T-R-I-O-T-S or R-E-D-S-O-X, there'd be a nuclear fucking holocaust on this board.

It must be just horrible, Mert, to have to constantly defend a city that has a World Series win and multiple Super Bowl wins in just the last few years. Forgive us if we don't feel very sympathetic.

 

Did I say city? No. I said team. The "Boston is just like New York, the teams are the same, we're sick of it" angle might have been hip a few years ago when two of the Boston teams were starting to dominate, but now it's just pathetically repetitive.

You said anti-Boston on another thread and you bring up Boston again in your last post. You're talking about Boston and the two teams there that are any good. Still, I don't understand the point of any of it, especially why you feel to bring your self pity to this thread. We're just fine without you. Better, in fact.

 

Anyway, am I the only one who hopes the Eagles punt Dirk Johnson in favor of the Aussie?

 

There's no self-pity at all, believe me. I feel just fine about the teams I root for and the place I call home. Moreover, I'm perfectly happy with the fact that I'm not a pompous prick who thinks he knows everything about everything. Of course, I've eaten food in a press box, so maybe I'm just too stupid to realize. Here's a hint, though, I'm not.

I'm not even a Boston-hater (root for the Red Sox/respect the Pats) nor have I said anything remotely anti-anything about either team, but I'm the subject of juvenile name-calling all the same just because I questioned your point. Real nice.

If it's a money issue, Mert, I'm sure we'll all be happy to take up a collection to help pay for your prescription.

The prick comment has 1 percent to do with this thread, and 99 percent to do with your general record on here. You've never impressed me much, and while I'm sure you'll say you don't care, I bet that's not really the case. But I'm glad to see you're ready to bitch about name-calling, and then suggest I'm on medication. Please, enjoy that high road, you seem to be doing so well with it.

I didn't use the word "bandwagon," by the way. And this shit has gone on here for a very, VERY long time. It's like you're not allowed to talk about Boston teams or anything, but we can have entire threads devoted to one football team. I apologize that it's so gotten in the way of your life. I'm not even sure what we're arguing about because I've never been involved in all the anti-Boston talk you mention - not even now - but your little outburst said more about you than I ever could. I thought you were a nice guy up to now - hence the drug reference - but I can see you were just waiting for a reason - no matter how stupid - to take a shot at me.
