    Great link. Thanks for that.

The Pac-10 has lost some of its luster of the early season thanks to things like (shorthanded) UCLA losing to WVU, Stanford losing at home to Gonzaga and Arizona getting rough man love from UNC (at home, no less), and I think UCLA is a no-brainer No. 1 right now, but they have a tough two weeks ahead of them. They take the toughest road trip in the Pac-10 (aside from their own) with Wazzu in Pullman on Thursday and UW (15-2 in Seattle) on Saturday. And then the Pac-10 tourney. I think they can suffer one loss in that stretch and still get a No. 1. More than that and I think it's a total guessing game come March 10.

Georgetown is going to get Old Dominion into the tournament at this point.

  3. Syracuse's lock just became mortal.
If three CAA teams get in, somebody should go out there and examine the highly objective methods used by the committee..oh, wait. People already did this.

Old Dominion already has a good case, having won at Georgetown and sweeping Drexel, a team that's won at Syracuse, Villanova, Creighton while playing the seventh-toughest nonconference schedule in the country.

The best thing for the selection committee would be VCU losing in the CAA Tournament, leaving ODU and Drexel to make the cut.

Whoever loses in the CAA semifinals is out. That'll probably be VCU-Drexel and ODU-Hofstra.

If it comes to ODU-VCU in the finals, I will be there and I'll pretend that they're playing not for the conference title, the automatic bid and a possible 9 or 10 seed in the NCAAs, but rather for my complete allegiance.

Michigan vs. MSU game just started. Must win if UM wants to be considered a NCAA tourney team. Dion Harris(who I think is their best player) and Courtney Sims need to step up.

The only chance MU is making the tourney is if they win out in the Big Ten Tourney. That's it, no other way.

Not even if they beat OSU?

I would still say no since they lost all their difficult non-conference games and got crushed by UCLA. Although, if they beat both MSU and OSU, they'd be at 9-7 with a few signature wins in conference. I still feel they'd have to make a deep run in the Big Ten Tournament. However, that's a huge 'if' for them to get either of these next two games. Michigan is a very mediocre team and that's all there is to it.

Yeah, can't argue with you there. Even if they do beat both MSU and OSU, it's gonna be hard to put them in because of their whole body of work.

If Tennessee continues this ass-kicking for another 20 minutes, can we drop the Gators from any No. 1 seed discussions?

I think the Gators can lose here, win out and still have the No. 1 seed. Wisconsin and UNC make it easier for Florida to have wiggle room (the reverse, of course, also holds).
