All this Savannah State talk, and nobody noticed the mighty Tigers took down Mercer this week?

Where will the UNC-Gonzaga game be played, assuming the Zags hang on to beat Baylor?

Yeah the Zags take on NC at the Garden. Its going to be a amazing game, even though Gonzaga lost Morrison and Batista they got this kid named Heytsfelt and he is a stud. He will hang with Hansbourgh mark my word. Should be fun to watch.

  7. That wasn't the only 150+ point game last night. Cal State Northridge beat Redlands, a DIII school, 159-97. Was watching ESPN and saw both those scores come across the ticker. Thought there was some kind of mistake. Had to check it out on Yahoo this morning.

    Harsh, Bubs. Harsh.

Going to the Miami-UE game tonight... are the U's basketball players as much fun as its football team? Please tell me "yes."

The U is in town for three days for a tournament that features -- wait for it -- Evansville, Buffalo and Cleveland State.

Seriously ... Miami athletes stuck in Southern Indiana for three days. Hope they like Denny's, Wal-Mart and VH1.

Take 'em out for some cow brains, OTR. Or show them the subtle beauty that is the river rat shacks along the Ohio River on the northern Kentucky shore.

For those who don't know, Kentucky has a slice of land north of the Ohio River near Evansville, a by-product of the Ohio changing course sometime in the 1800s, I think. Horse track Ellis Park is actually north of the Ohio River. There's a line of river rat shacks near the U.S. 41 bridge that evokes Appalachia at its finest.

Same thing with Iowa having a small bit of land west of the Missouri right smack dab in the Omaha area by the airport. Fucked with my head when I got off a plane there and it said, "Welcome to Iowa".

The only reason Indiana hasn't annexed that small strip of land is because we're waiting for the horse track to become a better tax source.

Once that happens — boom ... We've got a new county.

Is it Bracket Buster Saturday already?

College of Charleston loses again. Don't think Cremins has quit ... yet.
