I don't know. If this holds, this would be the Gators' third double-digit loss in three weeks, one of which came against a team that won't be going to the NCAA Tournament.

And yeah, there is some wiggle room, but so long as either Kansas and Texas A&M runs the table, it would be hard not to give a No. 1 seed to a four-loss Big 12 champion.

And here's a novel idea. Maybe the Vols can get a single point in the coaches' poll next week. Look at some of the teams that got points this week ahead of them — ridiculous. I know most coaches hate Pearl because of the Illinois thing, but that's just ridiculous. That team would be 9-6 in the SEC with a win tonight (1-3 with Lofton hurt), and they would have beaten Memphis, Texas and Okie State. They also lost at Ohio State in the final seconds. They should probably be ranked.

Don't forget Drexel did win in Omaha over Creighton...that's worth something in their dossier.

Beating Sparty is not a signature win. With Neitzel healthy, they're a top-35 team; when he's not, as he wasn't tonight, they're not top-75.

Frankly, neither of them should be in the NCAA. Mediocrity personified.

There is no way the CAA is getting three teams in the tourney. NONE. Absolutely not.

They'll be lucky to get two, and that's only if ODU doesn't win the CAA tourney.

Oh, Neitzel wasn't healthy for the game. Had no idea about that, then yes I completely agree that that win doesn't help MU at all. Also, Starman if you took all the mediocre teams out of the tournament then it'd probably be best to start with just 16 teams.

    I concur.

For some reason, I still think Hofstra wins the auto bid. They were everyone's preseason pick and have disappointed a bit. Part of me thinks they will play balls-out and surprise people to win the tourney.

That leaves VCU, ODU and Drexel for one bid.
So as long as it's Hofstra vs. one of those three in the final, I say both finalists make the tournament.

I say Drexel beats VCU and Hofstra beats ODU in the semis.
That leaves Hofstra and Drexel in the tournament, and VCU and ODU in the NIT.

Don't discount the advantages VCU and ODU will have by playing the tournament in Richmond.
