So MysteryMeat's ODU Monarchs upset No. 9 Georgetown, yet nary a peep has been heard from him about it.
    What gives?

Anyhow, here's a hearty congrats on behalf of another psuedo-CAA alum (GSU, but finished before they moved from the TAAC/Atlantic Sun).

Also, I ran into my good buddy Bruce Benedict today. He had the pleasure of reffing Winthrop's upset over Mississippi State Saturday.
He'll be working one of the strangest away games tonight: George Washington at the transitioning-to-DI Kennesaw State. How the Owls got that game at home I'll never know.

No doubt. GW must have had someone bail on them and were short on both options and leverage.

    Hooty Hoo, bitches!

GW is actually a return visit from last season (and let's face it, the Colonials aren't giving up a 15k-attendance home game for this). KSU also managed to snag Western Kentucky for the season opener. Nice scheduling for what's essentially a community college gym.

Actually, they opened a brand-new, 4,000 seat convocation center last year.
There's even talk of starting a D-I hockey program.

I got my degree in said convocation center. Nice new joint. Still juco quality.

Even so, still nicer than what GSU has.
Heck, it's easily one of the nicest arenas in the Atlantic Sun, although I thought the crappyness of the arenas in the conference (especially back when I was covering the league from '01-'03) gave it more of a grassroots-feel to a lower-level D-I league.

Pretty damn good game going on at the Garden. Gonzaga putting it on UNC, though the Heels are in the midst of a comeback.

UCLA is pretty good. Collison is playing like a 1st team All American the last few games. Fast little bugger.

Illinois was down 16-4 early to Maryland. It's now 48-43 Illini with 8:30 remaining.

Love Illinois' circular arena with all that orange.
