Think Tim Pawlenty's kicking himself for dropping out early? He might have been the guy cons allergic to Romney would've turned to. Instead, he allowed Bachmann to bully him out of the race, and he looks like a more whipped bitch than Bruce Jenner.

Aw, bullshit. Our current president was a cokehead and his predecessor was a drunk. The guy before that fucked anything with a heartbeat.

Shit like this should be way more controversial than whether or not Herman Cain offered to rest his balls on some employees chin, frankly.

The dude understands so little about the world, he still thinks China doesn't have nukes.

When did liberals start to care so much about sexual harassment? I mean, they've spent more than 20 years making excuses for and defending their hero Slick Willy, who bordered on being a serial sexual harasser of ESPN exec proportions ..

Of course, how could we forget the rules - if a woman accuses a religious person or republican of sexual harassment she is not lying, she is telling the truth and it is the gospel.

If, however, a woman accuses a democrat of sexual harassment - or worse - she is lying and she is trailer park trash just looking to get paid....

What do "liberals" have to do with any of this?

    The leak came from conservatives.

And conservatives will decide whether it cares about sexual harassment when it casts its votes.

This story has absolutely zip to do with "liberals."

C'mon, Dick, you know he's talking about the reaction of the liberals on this board, all of whom have twisted themselves into pretzels -- "It was just sex," "When Clinton lied, nobody died," etc. -- to excuse or minimize the seriousness of a sitting POTUS cheating on his wife and committing perjury.

As far as the actual "scandal," I have no doubt this was a Perry special. I'm pretty sure Ricky takes it as a personal affront having to actually stand on the dais with a black guy, not to mention that the same black guy who's absolutely whipping his ass in the polls.

Just shows how desperate Perry is to damage Cain's campaign b/c I can't see any way any of this actually helps Perry. He's barely hanging on right now. If Cain goes down, Gingrich becomes the Next Favored Conservative.

Oh well. Cain was obviously nowhere near ready for primetime anyhow. If he had been, he would've had a campaign infrastructure with professional, savvy PR people who would've gotten out in front of this stuff and marginalized it a long time ago.

Meanwhile, Romney sits back and shakes his head, wondering what all the fuss is about.

    On this thread?

These situations are not even close to analogous, other than both involving sexual escapades.

Cain is a renegade primary contender who paid sexual harassment settlements to former employees.

Clinton was a sitting president who was never going to face another election.

Perhaps a better, though still not one-to-one, comparison is Gary Hart. And his "crime" - adultery - wasn't the same as Cain's. On top of that, he already had credibility as a sitting and respected senator.

    And he was done.

Maybe because the Democrat isn't going around telling other people how to live their lives in the bedroom?

You have to look at the sum of the circumstances, though. In the circumstances as they stand right now, Cain is probably unelectable. Even in our supposedly enlightened times, black guy with a history of sexual harassment vs. the Huxtables? I'll put my money on the Huxtables.

    I don't think that's it.
