But Clinton was already elected. That's the difference. Are you referring to media coverage of Clinton's indiscretions? That's fine, but it never got put to a vote. The people may have decided a lot differently.

I get what you're saying, though. It drives me crazy when the whole thing is dismissed as "just a blow job." And I'm a Clinton fan.

Dick, the Gennifer Flowers story broke two weeks before the 1992 New Hampshire primary. So the people DID vote, sort of, on Clinton's sexual habits. It could be argued the 1998 Congressional elections were also a sort of referendum on Clinton's sex life. At least, that's what Republicans hoped it'd be until it turned out the public didn't much care.

That just depends on if there's a difference between adultery and sexual harassment. I think there is.

Probably the biggest difference is that Clinton was just a stronger candidate than Cain, and more capable of surviving a sex scandal during the primaries.

Can Mormons be Freemasons? I would think one brand of hocus-pocus would conflict with the other.

As for whether or not joking that your balls would rest nicely on a shorter co-worker's face (as it's hinted that Cain did) equates to having your State Trooper bodyguard collect women for you to cheat on your wife with, I would say, yes, it does.

And I'd say the smoke surrounding Clinton's personal life should have been taken more seriously, and once he lied under oath he should have resigned the office, thus insuring 10 years of President Al Gore. Imagine how different the world would be now, if he had.

That said, Herman Cain was never going to be the GOP nominee so this is all inside-baseball stuff to keep the beltway pundits entertained.

Dunno, but I just hope the Trilaterals aren't getting shut out here.

They were the go-to group when I was a kid.

They were pulling all the strings back then.
