You have to look at the sum of the circumstances, though. In the circumstances as they stand right now, Cain is probably unelectable. Even in our supposedly enlightened times, black guy with a history of sexual harassment vs. the Huxtables? I'll put my money on the Huxtables.

That just depends on if there's a difference between adultery and sexual harassment. I think there is.

Probably the biggest difference is that Clinton was just a stronger candidate than Cain, and more capable of surviving a sex scandal during the primaries.

I honestly don't remember.

(Someone will probably quibble with my description of the tape recordings. I've got to run and don't have time to search for them, but I think it's a fair description of what was on tape.)

And the facts are we have no accuser and no specific action that's actually been alleged. As of last night, that meant 50 stories on the national newscasts. Whereas there were numerous accusers and credible accusations of specific acts by Clinton ... which earned about three stories, all trying to discredit the accusers.

This is absurd.

Tony, this Cain story is driven by the right. The "liberal media" would love nothing more than to see a Cain primary victory. It would guarantee an Obama victory in the general election.

Other than reflexively defending a conservative, even now as against other conservatives, your posts are an absolute mess.
