Sure, but we can't allow Sandusky's repulsive behavior besmirch the reputations of all those who have attended Penn State. Afterall, Rick's been pretty forthright in speaking out against just such behavior:

If we get Romney or Huntsman, nothing will ever change. It'll just be the same old shit of compromising with the side that has set the course of ruin for the last 50 years.

It'll be a bad day to be an Ohio government union worker in the next few months when those 20,000 layoffs come out. I hope each and every one of those 20,000 remember to thank their union leaders.

Yes, please make sure your folks nominate a Tea Party whacko so that a) we're all amused 'til next November, and b) the Democrats win in a landslide.

Seriously, what on earth makes you believe that right-wing candidate would have even the slightest chance in the next election? I'm thinking medical marijuana.

If that's the card Kasich wants to play, let him. He will be shot by a fellow conservative Republican if he does that.

He's not Obama. He can't print money (and destroy the dollar) as the governor of Ohio.

The layoffs are coming. They have to. How can you doubt that?

Have you any clue how bad it will look for the GOP if a Republican governor lays off 20,000 people just because he doubled down on his hardass and lost an election? Republicans will probably be shoving Democrats and unions out of the way to get to the front of the line demanding his resignation if he embarrasses the party like that.
Better yet, let's put the Koch boys on an actual ballot instead of letting them play kingmakers and see if the people buy their act.

I don't think the republican would be to blame. Under his plan, those workers keep their jobs.

Ohio has a seven billion dollar budget shortfall. That is not the governors fault. The layoffs are coming, I just hope my wife keeps her teaching job.

Well, we had to make some changes in the break room, here at work, because this stuff was leaving a bad taste in some people's mouths.

So you're saying it will look bad for the man who faced reality and good for the union leaders who didn't?

You have a strange sense of reality. As Clem pointed out, $7 billion deficits don't just disappear because the union wants to keep benefits that no one else has.

OT, I'll give you credit for voicing what the GOP has been actively seeking for the past few years...a complete end to compromise.

Of course, you'd have to end democracy to end compromise, but, to use the phrase, that course has been set by the GOP braintrust and their corporate overlords.
