Yes, Ohioans will rally behind the man with the 30 percent approval rating who worked for Lehman Brothers!

Kasich pushed through SB5 without any input through the unions, like he was a Lehman Brothers exec. He refused to talk. Then when he realized he was tanking with Ohioans, he came crawling back to the unions to negotiate. They told him to fuck off and take his electoral medicine.

The hope is now that both sides will face up to reality and pound out a deal that makes fiscal sense and doesn't take away hard-earned and deserved rights for Ohio's firefighters and police officers.

This was an electoral correction for a man who went off the rails in his megalomania. Now is the time to get a deal done.

If Kasich was just roundly defeated on his anti-union measures by the same voters who are going to be showing up in the 2012 election, and now as a result he is going to lay off 20,000 workers (thereby increasing the unemployment rate in Ohio), how does it stand to reason that he will be in a position of electoral strength when this issue comes up again in 2012?

All this means is that Ohio has to go back and actually negotiate with its unions rather than using a legislative end-around to honoring its contracts. Like other states seemed to be able to accomplish.

Probably not the best time for Herman to refer to Nancy Pelosi as 'Princess Nancy' in tonite's Repub debate.

Compromise ended somewhere in the 70s when the Democrats decided that compromise meant getting everything they wanted or they'll call Republicans racist.

Reveling in people losing their jobs. These are those true colors I was talking about people catching on to. And of course, coming on here to revel in people losing their jobs takes a particularly special breed.

Bachmann had her turn as flavor of the month, as did Perry and Cain. It's Newt's turn.
