We let this shit go on without taking to the streets, to the presses, en masse. It's time to do some serious fighting back against this corrupt, overgrown, Student Council-like political system.

We're supposed to riot because a guy who has never been elected for anything got some side poon?

    Co-sign.

Eighteen months of electioneering is idiotic.

I'm with you, but I don't know how you could limit it.

I think they should eliminate any of those idiotic straw polls that happen more than a year before the election. They put ideas into people's heads that Bachmann and Cain are actually serious candidates.

    Good riddance to Cain.

It must be tough to be a family-values type these days. You've had to dump sexual harasser and apparent philanderer Herman Cain for thrice-divorced Newt Gingrich, and all because you can't stand Mitt Romney and his long, apparently happy and stable marriage.

I'm not pissed about Cain in general. I'm pissed because America can't find an effective, capable person to elect.

If I was Greta Van Susteren, I'd be sweating and twitching.

Meanwhile, good riddance to a spectacularly unqualified and in-over-his-head candidate who would have been an unmitigated disaster on Pierce or Buchananesque standards had this country been dizzy enough to somehow elect him.

Probably the only good thing Karl Rove ever did for this country.

Perry-Bachmann (hell, Fred Thompson, too)-esque: "Hey, I'm lazy, and didn't bother to learn anything about it, but you should vote for me because your worst impulses match mine!"

This is the first I'd head of the, "Uz-becky-becky-becky-stan" comment.

    What an utter ass clown.

Making fun of the names of other countries to deflect from his lack of knowledge?

I think the plights of Palin and Cain are a heartening indication that you don't have to have an encyclopedic recall of every global cabinet member, but even jingoistic American voters are not going to let you use lack of foreign policy knowledge as a badge of honor.

Those abroad with brains continue to be astounded beyond measure that he got as far as he did.
