Kelly Hrudy just suggested that the Flames' Mathew Lombardi is reminiscient of a young Mike Modano. Valid comparison or no?

Also heard on the Ranger game that Dave Lewis compares Patrice Bergeron to a young Steve Yzerman. High praise indeed

Here's a video about the hilarious seven-minute shift that Keenan forced on Kovalev. Apparently, Kovalev was taking shift that were too long and Keenan wanted to deliver a message. He got the message, but years later he's still pissed about it.

I really like Bergeron's game. It's just too bad he'll always be overshadowed by Crosby and Kovalchuk and Ovechkin and Malkin.

I would say Hrudey is a little off on this one. As well Modano didn't spend anytime in the minors after Junior. Of course Hrudey once proclaimed, I believe it was, Probert had some of the best hands in the league because he managed to bat a puck in out of the air once. Or something retarded like that. Lombardi will be a good player, but he will not be in Modano's class ever.

I'm certainly not saying Hrudey's on the money on this, but don't forget Modano started his career in the tail-end of the offensive "era" from the early 80's to the mid 90's.

Much like Yzerman was by Lemieux and Gretzky.

No, don't. Let's keep it a generally unpopular niche sport. :D

Sather signed him Friday. Krog played Saturday against the Bruins, skating on the fourth line.

Yeah, don't let them know it's still the best fucking sport in the world--to play or watch.
