    Back to normal in Lightning-land

Lecavalier scores 53 seconds in against Buffalo, and newly re-acquired Andre Roy gets into a fight at 2:10 of the first.

And then Buffalo hangs three on them and leads 3-1 after 1.

There wasn't an empty seat there tonight. Hull's sweater raised to the rafters in an hour-long ceremony.

Mississauga rarely has an OHL team.

But please, can we stop the talk of the Penguins to K-W? Please? It's not going to happen.

Andre Roy in his triumphant return to the Lightning:

2:52 of ice time, 5 minutes in the box.

St. Louis was a -3 as well.

The Ning Dynasty is not emerging.

Mississauga has an OHL team, and it will still have one next year after the IceDogs have packed their bags.

And I see no problem with speculating on what might happen with the Pens. It's not for sure that they're staying in Pittsburgh and K-W makes more sense than Hamilton for at least different reasons.

Anyone see the Brett Hull jersey retirement ceremony? Pretty well done, but a tad long (but then Hull was never one to keep quiet, I guess).

Hopefully, the one on Jan. 2 in Detroit is just as good. ;D

My comment about Mississauga was simply a shot at the franchise and the fact that they usually suck like a thirsty piglet.

And maybe K-W makes more sense than Hamilton. But that would be more of a statement about Hamilton than about K-W.

    Mr H,

Can't imagine Price not being the 'tender. That kid Calgary drafted would be the best story, tho'. He looks like he should be delivering newspapers and running for student president.

Carolina has had several sellouts and been filled to at least 75 percent capacity each night. And Chicago has passionate hockey fans, just fed up with the Blackhawks.
The only market in the Southeast Division really, really struggling is Florida. The Thrashers and Predators have made inroads, but it will take a long playoff run to push them over the hump.
