The Nashville Predators call up Alexander Radulov. Don't be shocked if he gives Malkin a run for Rookie of the Year.

 

And according to some, Wolski of the Avs has a shot at the Calder although I'd put my money on Malkin

Shanahan comes from my neighbourhood. There's a shrine (signed framed posters, bobbleheads etc) on one wall of my local.

He's a bright guy and I bet he'll have a future in the NHL head office when he retires.

 

Amazing finish to the Blues-Canucks game. Salo scores in the final second of overtime. I hadn't noticed this earlier, but if you to to the play-by-play on NHL.com, it tells you the length of every shot that results in a goal. Salo's wrister went 49 feet.
