So, if I have this right, it's okay for Brashear to run Jagr all game long. It's okay for Brashear to sucker punch Aaron Ward, after acting like a fool following a fight with Brendan Shanahan. But it's not okay for Colton Orr to retaliate. Okay. Good. Tough sport, my ass. Thanks Bettman.

 

Turned down opportunity to go the Flames game tonight. Not sure whether I'm insane or getting too old to handle that many people in one location ...
But I kinda just enjoy sitting at home, watching the game on my 27-inch Citizen that's 10 years old and casts an overall green hue on everything.

 

The ceremony is on OLN/Versus, along with Fox Sports Detroit and CBC.

The game is just on FSD and CBC.

 

And sending my fantasy hockey team to even lower depths:

Chris Pronger broke his foot.

OH well, least the Rangers aren't as bad as the Flyers.

 

Still a disgrace. Who gives half a wet crap about Chicago and St. Louis? Versus should show the Yzerman retirement ceremony and the game.

 

They didn't do anything for Brett Hull's jersey retirement ceremony in St. Louis either, I don't believe.

I was able to see that, but that's just because it was before a Blues-Wings game and it was on the FSD.

 

I have a Brett Hull jersey that's retired. Granted it's a Stars jersey I bought a few weeks after they won the Cup.

In Midtown Manhattan, it may be time to take the 'C' off of Jaromir Jagr's sweater and stitch it on Brendan Shanahan's.

 

With skating like that, no wonder the Isles have struggled on special teams this year. As for scuffling during practice, I'm thinking that Nolan needs to re-think his approach to team discipline.

 

Just as an FYI since people had been talking about it. Versus just ran an ad that promised "special coverage of Steve Yzerman night" in Detroit before their coverage of the Blues/Hawks game.
