And in other news, Petr Nedved will be back for a second tour of duty with the Oilers. They were able to jump ahead of the Sens to pluck him off waivers as the Flyers tried to bring him back up, enticing anyone to take him off their hands. The Oil will only be on the hook for half of his pro-rated salary, roughly $900,000 I think. look for an all Czech line of Sykora, Hemsky and Nedved to light things up. Now only if they could do something about their piss poor D.

The Nedved move is perfect for the Oil right now, and he should be a completely different player than he was in Philly. At least this will give MacT another option up front, so Oil fans won't have to put up any more of Thoresen's terrible play. The defense is in shambles and Roloson is playing like the second coming of Bob Essensa, but this should give the team a shot in the arm.
