Elliotte, I'm looking forward to the Sens/Penguins series just so I can watch Ottawa choke like they've always done against Toronto.

Although I'm about as much as Leafs looserfanboy as you can get, they didn't deserve to get in based on their play in the last couple of weeks.

I'm sure the Sens series will get good ratings.

    Have fun.

Re: Flyers finish worst season in 40 years

Maybe one of these years they'll get an NHL goalie.

Bob Clarke is clueless when it comes to netminders.

    And cheap.

    Bad combination.

Hey! No one calls Bobby Clarke cheap and clueless! He traded for Martin Biron. ;)

Time to resurrect an old fav saying of mine:

    Bobby Clarke hates good goalies.

And he's not GM anymore, so it's high time they quit listening to fucking ass.

I always said once Clarke goes the Flyers would be fine again b/c he always hated European players and that's where all the talent is. And then after he resigns the Flyers bring him back in the personell department. Huh?

What a horseshit game. For fifty-five minutes, the Isles and Devils forced each other wide. In the last five, Devs score twice to force OT, only to lose in the shootout.

Congrats to the Isles for making the playoffs. Now, go and beat Buffalo.

    jr,

I'm curious about the ratings...I'm not certain Penguins-Senators will draw as well as Toronto-anyone. As much as I hated the Madden penalty (which neutralized him for the shootout) and the shootout itself, the Islanders deserve credit for shaking off rigor mortis to pass Toronto and Montreal.

In honor of the playoffs, here's the play Edmonton drew up in the final moments of regulation in Game 5 of last year's SCF.

FSN NY Isles color guy Billy Jaffe said, during yesterday's broadcast, that Ryan Smyth told him that the Isles would be in the playoffs.

Isles had every chance in the world to lay down and play did, and they didn't. Credit Nolan, Snow, Smyth and the rest of the organization.

Toronto will always outdraw the other five Canadian teams. I know it's sad but it's true.

I assume Montreal would be #2.

I really don't think the Sens can beat the Penguins.

I have this funny feeling that Emery is going to have a Lalime like meltdown.

Aye, laddy, ya remember the Stanley Cup playoffs. Las Habitants used to participate in them, before winning the Cup. The last time the Habs experienced success was 1993. Some guy named Roy...
