Today is the 35th Easter Sunday since Gerry Meehan's goal with four seconds left that gave Buffalo a 3-2 win on the final game of the year and knocked the Flyers out of the playoffs on Easter Sunday, 1972.

Hated the Flyers then. Still do. And screw Bobby Clarke.

    Ah, let them, Headbutt. :D

Bobby Clarke is an idiot, though the organization doesn't look to be wising up by continuing to let him stick his hand in the pie after he resigned as GM.

His ignorant insistence on continuing to re-enact the Broad Street Bullies has killed Philly ... well, that and his insistence on not finding quality goaltenders or paying a good one to stay should he ever find that elusive one.

Switching back, Boston did have an alternate jersey this season. It was the "throwback" jersey that the big bad Bruins of the late 70's (Esposito, Orr, Cashman, Hodge, Cheevers, etc.) wore. They wore the black version. And speaking of throwbacks, the old Canuck blue/green jerseys were cool. All other alternates should be trashed. And please ask the league to have the home teams wear white again.

And as for the Maple Leafs, if they had beaten the Islanders outright on Thursday night, the Brodeur/Clemmensen debate would be moot, no?

Yeah, I realize that - they and about a half-dozen other teams have been wearing their vintage jerseys since the season before the lockout.

I just meant that they hadn't worn the Pooh Bear one at all this year.

And at one point about a dozen threads on an overhyped basketball tournament.

If I'm not mistaken, that's Craig Simpson holding the clipboard. No fucking wonder they fucking lost. That guy should have been fired five years ago.
