Unless you think the Devils will lose in regulation to the Flyers and Islanders. And the Pens will beat the Senators and the Rangers.

I need the Rangers to beat Montreal tomorrow.

And if the Leafs beat the Islanders, then the Montreal/Toronto game on HNIC Saturday night will determine 8th spot.

This thread almost disappeared into the ether.

Further proof that the terrorists may have won.

If OBL were a hockey player, would he be a power forward?

There's one you don't see every day: Joe Melichar hit with six penalty minutes. Four for high-sticking and two for roughing. While Pens had a guy in the box.

A final from Madison Square Garden:

    Rangers 3, Canadiens 1.

Rangers clinch a playoff berth; as of this posting, the Rangers are the sixth seed and would open up against the tradition-steeped Atlanta Thrashers.

Pens and Sens playing a great one tonight in Ottawa. Tied late in the game. Pens just whiffed on the PP and are on another PP.

Edit: Malkin takes a terrible retaliation penalty to even things up with less than 2 to play in regulation.

Max Talbot scores with 9 seconds left in the game while 4-on-4. Wow.

Pens and Sens now tied with 103 points. Home ice for first-round series between the teams will be determined Saturday.
