I'm amazed that my Avs are still alive in this thing. Calgary losing to Edmonton and the Avs beating the Preds would set up a winner take-the-8th spot finale tomorrow evening in Denver. Of course it's for the right to play Detroit, but anything is possible.

While they may have stunk since Smyth got traded, you know there's nothing that would make the Oil's summer more than spoiling the Flames playoff chances.

I think we've fallen just about as far as we can – save for Pheonix winning their last two and the Oil lose to Calgary. We've saved up for this game. Oil will be the Flames 5-2. Count on it. Schremp will score twice, and I want to call a rare owngoal byt Phaneuf. I just have a crazy feeling on that one. Regardless, the Embers flame out tonight.

 

BTW, he's not kidding. Honestly.

 

I have a buddy who has a 1967 Leafs Tim Horton sweater. I'm pretty sure he'll be wearing at some point this weekend.
