Vancouver and San Jose tied at 2 with two minutes remaining in the second period. Both teams are alive for division titles.

Vancouver wins in overtime, setting the match-ups for the West.

No. 1 Detroit vs. the eighth seed (Calgary or Colorado)
No. 2 Anaheim vs. No. 7 Minnesota
No. 3 Vancouver vs. No. 6 Dallas
No. 4 Nashville vs. No. 5 San Jose

    My predictions:
    Eighth seed beats Detroit
    Anaheim wins
    Dallas upsets Vancouver
    San Jose beats Nashville

EDIT: Just got an e-mail from a friend. We have tickets to Game 2 in Detroit.

Hey, I'd love to see the Oil win. I can't stand any other Canadian team - or the majority of their fans.

Same boat with you on that. About the only onther Canadian team I can stomach are the Senators.

If Detroit plays Calgary, Detroit wins in 6. If they play Colorado, the Avs win in 5
I like Anaheim to beat Minnesota, but it will take the Ducks 7 games to do it, and an upset would not really surprise me here.
Vancouver will beat Dallas in 5
Nashville will beat San Jose in 6

I'm not sure who I would consider bandwagoning in the West.

In the East, it's Toronto simply because of Mo.

Hey, give me a break ... I'm sitting here watching Florida dissect the Whalercanes. Ugh ...

What a game between Leafs and Habs. Montreal's up 5-4, with Toronto on the PP.

Thank goodness there's one good game. Panthers still dropkicking the Whalercanes. At least the folks at the ESA had enough class to announce Martin Gelinas' 300th career goal. He was the only major defection from 2001-02 Stanley Cup finals team in Raleigh. They never did replace what he brought to the table ...

Absolutely unreal game at the ACC tonight. Leafs up 6-5 with less than 14 minutes remaining in the third.

    And thank goodness for DVR.

And the ability to record two games at once. Can't wait to see this Toronto-Montreal game when I get home.

CBC just reported that Sheldon Souray left the game with an upper body injury and will not return.
