    Spezza's pass was pretty impressive.

Damn. Just watched Sidney Crosby's goal again on SC. Damn. I haven't seen Penguins fans that excited in years. YEARS.

It made me excited to watch the Penguins again. Damn.

It's cool to see that hockey is winning its fans back. I'd love to check it out ...

... if only OLN hadn't pissed Dish Network off to the point where it got pulled. Way to go, geniuses.

I should've added a third choice, and I would've had I seen all the highlights earlier.

How about Steve Sullivan's hat-trick goal?

    Sirs, Madames,

Help me out ... how's Corey Locke doin'?

    YHS, etc

I'd say Spezza's pass, because it happened in an actual hockey game while Sid's goal happened in a skills competition.

Yeah, but Theodore's still looking for his jock in about row 25.

former board regular elliotte friedman was co-hosting a radio show the other day and asked john ferguson jr. who he would have taken first overall if alexander ovechkin & sydney crosby were in the same draft year (ovechkin is one year older). ferguson -- as usual -- totally ducked the question.

elliottes co-host, the great bob mccown, said he would take ovechkin. your thoughts...

McCown is simply saying that because it's against the grain to do so.

He'll often say things about Crosby that make no sense, much like during last year's Memorial Cup when he claimed that Corey Perry was a better player than Crosby based on the number of points each had in their league's playoffs.  I doubt he'd even seen Perry play, and he completely ignored the fact that Crosby played far fewer games because Rimouski had a first-round bye.

And what happened to Elliotte anyway?

He's busy at HNIC, I guess.

Bob McCown's a pompous ass. I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life but his act wears a little thin after a while. And anybody who has seen Perry play and makes a comparison to Crosby is out of their freakin' mind.

BTW, I've enjoyed the few times Elliotte has hosted Prime Time Sports. He has a nice way of telling "Gord from Scarborough" that he's full of shit and the guy doesn't even realise it.
