Wow. Sidney Crosby just made me swallow my words with that overtime goal.  ;D

Certainly a nice "Eff you" to Derian Hatcher, Crosby, his mangled mouth and all. So much for the "puss" label that dogged him in certain corners of the Q.

    WOW!

And look who made 36 saves for the shutout tonight as St. Louis finally got a win, blanking Columbus 2-0. Good job, Curt! ;D

Guess who made the cover of the new Hockey News?

    Dooley's favorite netminder, Patrick Lalime.

Like Dooley's favorite hockey team (3 wins-12 losses-3 overtime losses; 9 pts), Lalime was run over. :D ;D

Just saw the highlights of the Pens/Flyers game (we have the Detroit/Calgary game up here).

Crosby is something else. Big cojones that guy.

Perfect example of the old, slow NHL and the new skilled NHL: Hatcher and Crosby.

    Ms Girl,

The only ones who carved Crosby by reputation are guys who couldn't catch up to him to carve him with their sticks. 99 and 66 were never remotely as tough as this kid. Remember he knocked Ovechkin into two pieces and out of the world junior final with an open-ice bodycheck.

    (I can hear someone typing R-o-b-b-i-e S-h-r-e-m-p and C-o-r-e-y L-o-c-k-e.)

    Available in better bookstores, etc

I just saw the highlight's of the Flyers-Pens game.

Bobby Clarke's team is still learning how to clear the puck out of its own end. One of these days, Bobby. You're almost there.

Sid The Kid's game-winner was a thing of beauty. Antero Niittymaki is no Henrik Lundqvist. Hell, he's not even Kevin Weekes.

Sid The Kid reminds me of a young Gretzky, in that he's willing to open his mouth and say something, even if it will draw him a fine/rebuke from Sixth Avenue.

    Tonight's AP gamer:

While I'm very hesitant to make the comparison, I'll go ahead anyway and do it. What Crosby did tonight was very Jordanesque.

If you pissed off Jordan, he would go out and score 50 on you and beat you. The Flyers pissed off Crosby tonight and he went out and scored three points and beat them.

    (Prepares for bombardment.)

Dude, I'll agree with you. Young Master Crosby might not be someone an opposing team should consider making angry. Leave it to the freaking Flyers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr [hostileflyersfangirl]

A Flyer fan agreed with me? It must be an incoherent comparison. ;D

I'm mad at Bobby Clarke. He's making me hostile at the boys. Plus, there's a reason why some of us refer to Sid as Big Baby Jesus.
