Zherdev resigned with Columbus.

Good. He's a talented player on an up and coming team. With Detroit taking a step back, and Chicago and St. Louis still stuck in reverse, Columbus could challenge for a playoff spot.

 

Well, he was on OTR tongiht--wearing jeans. So that explains it.

 

A little help from my friends please.

I'm doing some research on NHL captains. Some teams media guides list them, others don't. The only consistent resource I can find a listing of captains is Wikipedia, and I hardly want to use that as my primary source.

Other than physically calling each team to verify this, is anyone aware of any resources I could use?

HB or some of the other nySportsJournalists.com contingent might help me, but wasn't Esposito part of the Rangers gang that did Jordache or some other jeans ad in the early 80s. I seem to remember seeing four or five of Rangers in an ad in the old "Goal Magazine".

I was thinking the exact same thing. Did the article forget to mention the names Patrick O'Sullivan or Dustin Brown heading to the Canes? Could go down as the worst trade in NHL history.
