The Canes have also announced that they have cut Jason Woolley. Is that another hole on the blue line, or do they have someone in place to fill in?

Mark my words: Schremp will tear that league a new anal cavity.

    Sirs, Madames,

Schremp will break AHL scoring records.

    Mr. Friend.
Schremp is the next Big Thing. Just ask him.

That's fine, he needed a year of seasoning anyways. I'd rather have him playing a regular shift in the AHL, than wasting away on the fourth line and seeing spot duty on the power play. Besides the Oilers are set offensively, they are still one of the deepest teams up front in the league. They will be rolling four, count 'em, four offensive lines this year.

    Mr R,

If you ask him, hell tell you that he's "the next big [effing] thing."

So you're saying any junior player coming up that has a well deserved ego isn't worth the time of day?

So that you know it's not just me singing his praises, here is Lowe's take on Schremp as quoted on NHL.com

GM Kevin Lowe discussing top prospect Robbie Schremp:

"I don't think there's been many young guys who have come into this organization with as much notoriety as he has but I've been very happy with the way he's conducted himself. He certainly has an element that not a lot of players have in terms of the offence he brings. We're definitely intrigued by that. Whether he needs time at the American League level remains to be seen."

Jordan Staal makes the Penguins, for now at least.

He's got nine games before they can send him back to his junior team and Evgeni Malkin's time table to return from his shoulder injury is 5-10 games.

I know, and I have a habit of being over defensive when it comes to my Oil.
