The 2006-07 NHL season starts tonight. Two games on Versus, which used to be OLN. Sabres-'Canes at 7; Stars-Avs at 10.

Watch for former Brampton Battalion Wojtek Wolski who'll be in Avs' lineup tonight as a rookie.

Yahoo Sports still listed tonight's game as being on OLN. Maybe they have a slow connection to the internet.

I though Wolski get a few starts last season. I may be wrong.

Just curious, for a new season, shouldn't there be a new thread? I mean, 129 pages is a lot.

Oh, and I can't wait to see what the Penguins do once they make the playoffs.

They'll be in Kansas City or Hamilton or Winnipeg or Portland or Hartford by that time.

    Could be...

    http://www.postgazette.com/pg/06277/727495-100.stm

Jim Balsillie, the Canadian businessman who last month emerged as the front-runner to buy the Penguins, could be announced as the team's new owner as early as tomorrow.

Negotiations between Balsillie and the NHL team apparently have progressed to the point where a deal was close today, several sources close to the process said. The announcement would coincide with the Penguins' season opener tomorrow night at Mellon Arena against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Balsillie is chairman and co-CEO of Research in Motion, the company based in Waterloo, Ontario, that makes the BlackBerry.

He played nine games at the beginning of the season and got sent back down to Brampton. Played in the playoffs and got a goal and two assists in the first playoff game
