I watched some hockey for the first time in several years a couple nights ago (Toronto-NY) and while I like the changes, I still think the thing that would really help the game most but won't happen any time soon is larger rinks. Players are bigger and faster than ever and they need some room to skate.

My other observation is that the Leafs have a pretty effective power-play unit.

#1 in the league in PP's and McCabe leads all players with PP points.

Hell, if it weren't for the power play, the Leafs would be out of the playoffs by now.

Rinks won't get bigger anytime soon. The NHL had the chance to mandate European sized rinks when all the new barns were being built but they didn't.

I messed up ... Sittler had the most 40 goal seasons.  It was Frank Mahovolich (sp?).

    Can I come now?  :D

He'd have beem great, but Leafs fans would still boo him incessantly for no reason.

Although I'm a senior citizen of Leafs Nation, some of my fellow countrymen are downright embarrassing.

The "Gords from Scarborough" booed Murphy out of town. He promptly went to Detroit and helped them win two Cups.

Question Two: Name the four teams that Eddie has played for. (No cheating).

Part two: Who was his back-up on the first team he played for?

Question Three: When Detroit traded Red Kelly to Toronto, what did Punch Imlach promptly do?

    (Good luck).

Cheat! I don't need to cheat.
    Chicago.
    Dallas.
San Jose (for about a minute and a half)
    Toronto
    Dominik Hasek?
Went to Disneyland? How the hell would I know. Was I born then?

Obvious gasps in your hockey knowledge. :)

Red Kelly was an All Star defenceman with the Wings. Imlach turned him into a centre.

Were you born when the Leafs last won the Cup??
