Looks like the party might be over for Moddy.

    Sirs, Madames,

For safety's sake, I just hope Ovechkin's family is out of Russia. A court loss for Dynamo might be the worst of all possible outcomes.

    Mr. Miler,

Is Dynamo affiliated with the Russian mob?

    Dooley/Duly noted.

Rangers beat the Bruins tonight, 3-2. Lundqvist stopped 33-of-35 shots, and Jagr scored a goal and assisted on the other two Rangers goals. He has totaled 35 points in 23 games, an is on pace for well over 100 points.

Don't his parents carry a high profile over in Russia? I thought they were government officials or something to that order. or it could just be that I am still hung over from yesterday and this is what's coming to me.

    Mr 03,

Just going from memory -- I get his story and Kovalchuk's confused -- I think they are well off, some past involvement in sport.

Should've posted this last night, but Sanford made 32 saves Saturday and was named the first star as St. Louis beat Detroit 3-2. That's two wins in a row for the Blues and two straight for the boy from the Sound.

Is it just me or is there a revolving door for goalies this year in the NHL?

Even before the lock-out I could pretty well name all 30 starting goalies and most of the back-ups.

Now there are guys in net I've never heard of.

All of those European goalies that are selected in the middle and late rounds of the draft that no body has heard of before are finally getting their shot. The big injury I see out there is the groin. In other words the goalies that are going down didn' do a whole lot to stay in shape last year and weren't in the best of conditionheading into this campaign – ie: Ty Conklin, T-Bo, any of the 12 goalies Atlanta has suited up this year.

Thought this deserved some closure here.
The Mighty Ducks, as I thought might happen, claimed Todd Marchant off waivers, picking up his entire salary in the process.

    Mr 03,

Bad contract in, bad contract out.

Some possibility of reward with Fedorov. Unfortunately CBJ might have the wrong Fedorov. I'll never figure out how Fedor was a late-rounder--on talent and zero character, he shoulda gone higher. Punished, somewhat, for the sins of the brother.
