Glen Healy is on Friday morning. Can't miss the sound of the bagpipes  ;D

I think the sound of the horn going off would be more appropriate... :D ;D

I heard the real reason Healy retired was because he got whiplash from turning his head toward the net so much. :D

I actually look forward to the Glen Healy segments.  He's pretty funny.  There was one Friday that Nick Kyprios was the guest host and they got into some remembrances of their college hockey days together.  Great stuff.

Healy's pretty good. He's self deprecating--knows he was one of those goalies who would never be confused with Georges Vezina.

The thing I like about him is that he doesn't mince his words. He tore (rightly so) a strip off Antropov's hide one morning because the fans were booing him and he didn't understand why. He's a bit too young to be a curmudgeon but given enough time he could be the next Brian Burke.

Heals and Kypper hosted a MTV show after the 1994 Cup Finals and subsequent parties; I feel pretty secure in saying it was the intentionally funniest show in MTV history.

Doomed? No way, man. Sanford's gonna turn this ship around starting Tuesday night against Shittsburgh! 8)

Well, considering that Shittsburgh only got 17 shots against the Wings tonight, it shouldn't be too hard. I think they had less than 10 through two periods.

He's been struggling and the team is starting to play better," coach Mike Kitchen said. "It's just a matter that we thought it was time to make a change and see if that helps out, and have Patty step away just a little bit so he can work on his game and get back to where he was when he was at Ottawa."

Kitchen can tell himself that when he's coach against Lalime in the AHL>

Kitchen speculated that Lalime has had difficulty adjusting to the NHL's new rules after the lockout year. Among the changes, goalie pads are smaller.
"I think in today's game you have to be able to actually stop the puck," Kitchen said. "In fairness to him, all he's ever had to do before is just stand there and let the puck hit him.
"I think once he gets that he'll be a better goaltender."
