And Don Cherry, that bastion of integrity, calls out Kovalchuk for taunting Crosby.

And Cherry is spot on. I think even Mr. Miler might agree with me on this one.

Agreed with Grapes, particularly on his point where the Pens have got to find someone to ride shotgun for the Baby Jesus.

The Vancouver/Calgary game was outstanding. Canucks are down 3-1 in the third, tied it up with less than a minute to go.

Then Brendan Morrison scored in OT for Vancouver.

Cool part of that was, because it was Hockey Day in Canada ---the theme was parents and children--Brendan's mother, grandmother and two of his three kids dropped the ceremonial puck.

I thought that was the reason Craig Patrick signed Andre Roy in the offseason...

Rogers Sportsnet up here is getting set to run a four-part series on the same thing. Apparently former teammate Nick Kypreos was given "unprecedented access" to the Moose, his home and his family – and the previews do look promising.

The highlights from last night showed Roy chirping at Kovalchuk during their warm-up stretches near centre ice. Yeah, Andre, that'll teach him!

I would love to see that...

The highlights from last night showed Roy chirping at Kovalchuk during their warm-up stretches near centre ice. Yeah, Andre, that'll teach him!I had the same exact discussion with a co-worker tonight. Roy and the Pens tried to get at Kovalchuk at the end of the game. Why not bang him during the game? Oh, that'd make too much sense. What a gutless bunch Craig Patrick assembled.

    Sirs, Madames,

Cherry has hedged his bets just in case 87 makes it. He has seen the future--as soon as he put down the mirror. Grapes's fellatio period is now official.

Him on SC's side? Next you're gonna tell Belinda Stronach will cross the floor and leave behind the love interest.

    YHS, etc

    Mr. M;

    Agreed.

The lacrosse move was, in Don's opinion, unwarranted, given the game situation. Perfect Cherry moment to rag on someone.

However, his ensuing criticism was overkill and given the Baby Jesus's performance in the first half, he needed a reason to back off.

And what better reason than a hot-dogging Russian?

And Belinda--without her Armani--is ordinary looking. Peter deserved better.

Hot-dogging Russian or no, I'll still take Kovalchuk on my team. Crosby and Ovechkin (Michael Farber wrote a really nice piece on him in this week's SI) too.
