    Here's the incident:

Doesn't look like that would be a very even fight.

Apparently, lots of present teammates, former teammates and even non-teammates have problems with The Carl.

Jimmie Johnson, cutting his points deficit to 9.

Under the old system, it would be 449 points, if my math is correct.

Denny Hamlin's gas tank. Seems somebody in the 11 pit needs to figure out how to work a calculator.

Hell, even an abacus would have helped.

I was thinking the same thing. I just find it hard to believe he didn't know he was out of gas until the flag dropped.

Screwed Truex out of a decent finish.

Here's his explanation from the transcript: "We felt like we were pretty good on fuel there. We were even good to real close on a green-white-checkered. All day we’d been getting water in our fuel. The water displaces fuel and so we weren’t getting the full potential of fuel. We just took it apart again and pulled some gas out of the fuel cell and once again, we got water. So it’s just a shame. It’s one of those times when you think you’re luck is going to turn around and the good Lord is going to shine on you and it’s going to be your day."

Still doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

How does it not make sense?

He had water in his fuel. It had pooled up at the bottom, so when he went to restart, all that was going through his line was water. As his crew chief said "You can step on it all you want, but it's not going anywhere."

The 11 and the 22 (remember how he lost power early in the race?) had the same problem. NASCAR has samples of their fuel, and took samples from the Sunoco tanks at the track, and there was no water in there. So how the condensation got in there, no one knows or is saying yet. The 16 team also said it had the same problem, but Darby only mentioned the 11 and the 22.
