I just got a press release via e-mail and I suspect many of you did, too.
Because of a Kenseth sweep, everyone in the country gets free curly fries at Arby's tomorrow? All you have to do is print results from the Web or clip them from a paper and bring them in?
Interesting. I'd rather eat dog dung but interesting nonetheless.

Matt Kenseth dominated the weekend’s NASCAR action, taking the Stater Bros. 300 on Saturday, and followed it with the Auto Club 500 moments ago at California Speedway.

KENSETH WINS AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY AND AMERICA WINS WITH FREE MEDIUM CURLY FRIES AT ARBY’S® ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH

ATLANTA -- February 25, 2007 – It’s time for NASCAR® and Arby's fans to celebrate! Matt Kenseth made it into Victory Lane at California Speedway on Saturday, February 24th, and as promised, Arby's will give away free medium Curly Fries on Monday, February 26th, deemed “Matt’s Monday”, to celebrate the #17 win.

Customers will need to bring in a printed copy of the official race results from either a newspaper or website as their coupon at participating Arby's on "Matt's Monday" to receive their free order.

Kenseth’s win also earns a $5,000 gift for a local Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) agency in California. As part of Arby’s more than 20 year relationship with BBBS, Arby's will donate $5,000 to the particular race area’s agency every time he wins a race (Nextel or Busch Series) in 2007.

Arby's "Matt's Monday" free medium Curly Fry give away is valid only on the Monday's following a race won by Matt Kenseth in 2007, limited to one order per person with coupon, while supplies last, is not valid with any other offer and is available at participating Arby's locations.

Arby's is the primary sponsor of Kenseth's No. 17 Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Busch Series. Arby's will also appear as the primary sponsor on Kenseth's NASCAR Nextel Cup Ford Fusion in the Spring 2007 race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Oh c'mon now, you wouldn't be insinuating that these races are manufactured would you? BTW, any truth to the rumor that Hulk Hogan, and Wayne Newton are going to be the co-grand marshals in the Vegas race coming up in a few weeks?

Was that the caution where TV showed actual debris on the track?

With this board's discussion fresh in my mind (specifically Bubbler's "contrived" statement), I asked Gordon and Johnson about debris cautions last night.

IF THERE ARE GOING TO BE 150 GREEN-FLAG LAPS AT THE END OF A RACE, ISN'T THERE ALWAYS GOING TO BE A DEBRIS CAUTION? DO YOU HAVE TO FACTOR THAT IN?

Gordon: "You need to ask somebody else that. We aren't the ones that make that decision. It does seem like it does happen. I guess it just depends on the track and the situation. I really don't know what happened on that. I'm sure they've got an explanation. You can go over to that truck (NASCAR) to ask that question."

Johnson: "It did seem like there would be one coming to be honest. I hate it and wish it didn't take place, but I think we all saw it coming."

Johnson said the same thing on camera last night.

What's even worse is that these debris cautions lead to bunched-up packs, which lead to someone getting in a messy crash in the last 10 laps, which leads to a 40-minute red flag.

The caution with the debris that was the fallen belt was earlier in the race, if that's what you were referring to.

Nice work Jeff. I would imagine debris cautions are supremely frustrating for the drivers more than anyone.

Not for the ones who desperately need them in order to get back into contention.
