I could rationalize every other group the way you just did redneck.

It's like someone saying "there are blacks, and then there are ...."
"There are white country folk, and then there are ....."

Neither should be acceptable, but this is an argument I'll lose, because the establishment doesn't see it that way.

Alright, white, lower-class males. It's socially unacceptable to make fun of individuals living in ghettoes or housing projects, but trailer parks are acceptable. And no, I'm not getting riled up about it and saying that white people have it rough, I'm just making an observation.

I guess I have a different view of rednecks. The people you are referring to are people I've always heard referred to as "crackers" and "white trash." To me, the term "redneck" meant someone who was outside and had that farmer tan (red neck and arms). To me, a redneck was always a rural person who worked their asses off during the week, then wanted to have some harmless (and alcohol-filled) fun on the weekends. I grew up surrounded by them in northeastern Missouri and always found them to be quality people. I guess I always heard "redneck" and thought of farmers and whatnot. When I heard these WA legislators make their comments, I thought of people like my dad who has worked his ass off his whole life and may not know what fork to use during which course, but had more real-life smarts and common sense than any of those chuckleheads. My thought of redneck was just a plain, down-to-earth person who didn't need material things or money to be happy. Just my opinion.

  5. There's a fuckin' surprise. Vegas Busch race red-flagged with 10 laps remaining.

Anyone get the feeling that Tony Stewart is going to have a LOT to say tomorrow after the Cup race? After the debacle in Charlotte, you would think Bruton would be a little more careful about repaving his tracks. Especially when Vegas was starting to have some decent races. Hopefully, no one gets hurt...

    Moddy:

Jeff Burton beat in the Busch race.

But the tires and the track beat the crap out of the field.

Look for a Clubber Lang Cup race:

    "My prediction? PAIN!"

How is it Bruton Smith's fault NASCAR wants to make his tracks look bad?

How did NASCAR have any influence on how SMI redid Lowe's Motorspeedway and Las Vegas Motorspeedway? I guess it's possible Bill F. slipped the paving crew a little payola...

Anyone useing the Raceview at NASCAR.com? It started out nice at the beginning of the season, but the last few weeks have sucked. The cars are driving around the track either sideways or backwards...
