Not sure I follow you here, Skippy...what's bad about going to the Indy 500 every year and nothing else? Traffic nightmare, yes. But once at the track, what are fans "doing" that's wrong? What is "the drill" that NASCAR fans have supposedly perfected?

I was listening to XM in my car tonight (ESPN Radio) and they did a recap on the race today and in it the guy said Tony Stewart had the "best car," but "engine woes" caused him to finish back in the pack. That sounded kind of funny to me — if the car had "engine woes," wouldn't that eliminate consideration that it was the "best car" on the track; the engine is part of the car, and it wasn't working too well.

I'm not much of a gearhead, so maybe one of you can tell me if that makes sense. It's sounds kind of like a guy saying "I'm the healthiest man on the planet, although the three heart attacks I've had in the last five years have slowed me down."

Good question. The best car doesn't always win the race. Tony was smokin' the field almost the entire race - he led the most laps, over 250 laps out of 500. Then, he had engine problems. So, till the engine went kablooey, he had the "best car."

I didn't use the sarcasm font there.

Judging by Kurt's behavior over the years, Kyle's antics aren't just the stuff of a dumb, young kid.

Jayski has an item from Ford Racing that says Toyota is going to take one of Mikey's cars and "completely dismantle" it. They want to find out why it is so slow. It's on a tee...

The car does appear to be a lot more durable. Some of the crashes at high speeds resulted in cars having a "quick" fix and coming back out, when they were 200 laps behind the rest of the pack.

It had little or nothing to do with the COT and everything to do with the fact that the track is in terrible shape, which is why it's getting repaved prior to the August race.

Apparently MWR has had a lot of problems passing inspection this season ... could be related.

I think it's more a case of not getting into the show and Toyota wanting some answers.
