Paul Newman's/Carl Haas' money, a Champ Car engineering staff and Robert Yates' engine know-how ... that could be a very interesting proposition.

Or it could just be four crappy cars. I guess that's why it's interesting, tho.

Seriously though, does Newman have a stake on the NASCAR side? There it's just Haas-CNC.

Separate team. Gene Haas is the guy involved in the 66/70.

Carl Haas' last time in Cup was the 37 car in the late 1990s with Jeremy Mayfield and John Andretti.

It's official: Evernham admits to nailing his driver.

Did anyone ever go to the courthouse to grab the Evernham divorce documents?

According to Jayski, Mr. Menard may have written a check to Ginn to make this happen...interesting stuff. It's starting to look like Junior made the right decision to get out of there before DEI turns into Menard Racing...

It would make sense, to keep his sonny boy in the car.

Talk in the garage today is saying the Ganassi cars are quickest; but there's some question as to whether or not they'll stil be running at the halfway point. A lot of the people I talked to don't even think Sorenson will lead the first lap...

It's like the Friday Night Figure-8 Feature out there. Not crazy about ESPN, Musberger or the 'Draft Track,' either.

    Looks like Jimmie Johnson's done.

EDIT: Car's on fire. He's out of the car though.
