But Gordon should under no circumstances be punished in the Cup series for actions in the Busch series. Park him for the rest of the year in the Busch series. That would make more sense.

Harvick was parked in the Cup Series in 2002 after his incident at Martinsville.

Robby's an idiot. Of the all the guys to pull that shit he does it after all the times he's done the same thing. You think he'd smarten up and figure he's being watched.

Precisely. If NASCAR wants to get your attention fast, this is the best way to do it.

Getting parked today was the tip of the iceberg.

Robby's going to be bitch-slapped hard Monday or Tuesday.

What's worse? Getting parked or having P.J. Jones drive your car?

Robby Gordon has a lot of talent.

Robby Gordon also is a spoiled brat, as evidenced by his repeated decisions on the track.

So if you get punted UNDER CAUTION, you should lose your spot? He didn't fail to keep his spot under the yellow due to running out of gas or a blown tire or a mechanical issue; he lost it because a competitor hit him. I respect your opinion, but I think your logic is flawed on this one.

Here's what Busch Series director Joe Balash said yesterday:

So Robby was never in the lead --- his pass of Ambrose came after the field was frozen, yet Robby kept his foot in it.

Robby Gordon is a very good IndyCar driver (one who would've won the 2001 Indy 500 if there was about 2 more gallons of fuel in his car). It's a shame he's wasted that talent running around in the back of the field in stock cars.

If a frontrunner (Harvick or Stewart) acts like a spoiled brat, it gets wrapped into the NASCAR soap opera for the week. If it's a backmarker like R. Gordon, he's a spoiled brat and the punishment will be much more heavily meted out.

Maybe the NASCAR peeps can help me understand something.

Why would the sport penalize Tony Stewart championship points for cursing last week?
