Gary Ballough in the Busch Series, maybe.

Gene Haas, owner of the #66 Nextel Cup operation and the #00 Busch team, has been indicted by the feds for tax fraud and witness intimidation.

He's being held without bail in LA due to the feds' fear that he would run to China. It's a 52-page indictment.

Haas also owns Haas CNC and Haas Automation. According to a corporate release, the case revolve around the company's former CFO; Haas Automation won, by default, a lawsuit accusing that worthy of cheating the company out of $27.5 million. However, the former CFO is the feds' star witness.

One of the invoicing schemes investigated involves the 66 team, allegedly.

Who the hell is Gary Ballough? That probably answers my question, in part.

Of course, wins by Phil Parsons, Bobby Hillin and Ron Bouchard at Talladega also could be considered upset-like.

Let me put it this way: He's more notable for having the same legal problems that Randy Lanier, the Whittington brothers and John Paul Sr. and Jr. had than he was for his racing, although he was a decent race-car driver.

If anyone is going to be at Sonoma and is willing to out themselves (not to everyone), I'll be up there this weekend. Come over and say hello.

Jay, I'd agree -- but he's not driving for those sponsors.

Now if he hires Kenny Wallace to drive that car, yeah, we can talk.

By the way, Kevin Harvick really deserved that punt he just got.

    FYI, Moddy, Lumberboy's beating.

I was in a bar in Sonoma last night, didn't seem like anyone was paying attention to the race.

Then Harvick gets punted, and the whole place erupts.

    "OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Didn't hear Harvick's post-race comments. Just had the Busch race on in the background. I did see him stop on the front stretch to bitch, though.

Moddy, Menard's kid won. Have silver throttle, will get good ride.
