IIRC, "for some reason" is the reason as always. TV told them to.

Yes, I'm sure TNT had to show Blade for the 1,321st time.

Since no one answered your question, I went to the National Weather Service site and got you your Pocono forecast: Rain until 2 a.m., slight chance of rain from then until 1 p.m.

Chance of a boring race: 100%

Hey if the National Weather Service told you it's gonna be a boring race, you think they would know which drivers I should go with in my fantasy racing?

    :)

Kenny Wallace should be at the top of the heap -- if he qualified, that is.

It got moved to an afternoon race when NBC elected to televise it instead of TNT. And a chance to get an extra Busch Series race on network TV was a good enough reason for the switch. And besides, fans in the stands and their comfort will never win out over the desires of TV.

He didn't. He will, however, be doing pre- and post-race coverage for the Speed Channel, alongside Jimmy (Mr. Excitement) Spencer.

Speaking of has-beens who've moved to the broadcast booth, how did DW look in his return to competition? I saw in the highlights (?) that he spun out at one point and finished way back in the pack, but that doesn't in itself say very much. Think he could win at a superspeedway in a DEI car?

he showed everyone why he had to rely on the champion's provisional the make a lot of races late in his cup career.

Deep Thoughts from Kurt Busch, on that has-been named Jimmy Spencer:

"That's what happens when you get back there with the decrepit old has-beens. Or I guess he's a never-was. There's nothing you can say or do about his type of thinking. He's got the brain of a peanut."

    Ah, good ol' Kurt.

But he was running better in that car than his brother does. :D

20 exciting laps left. On the edge of my seat I tell ya.

Denny Hamlin has had the car today. Not sure many can catch him.

Dale Jr.'s out ... so .... bring on the Brickyard.

And Gluck could break his streak... And Moddy could be happy!
