But Ricky Bobby went into Cal Naughton's victory lane! What is Junior talking about?

In the near future, Edwards is going to punch somebody out. This will be fun. For the most fun, it would be Stewart.

Got loose off 2 and both Earnhardt and Robby Gordon were running faster than him. Edwards would have done the same thing if his position had been reversed with Earnhardt.

Dr. Teeth and Junior spent time in the NASCAR trailer just before the drivers' meeting. Anyone know any more about that?

On another subject, does anybody find Evernham's method of firing Mayfield just a little low-class? Couldn't even do it himself ... he had his CFO call Mayfield's business manager.

Admittedly, it's not as low-class as ditching your wife for your 23-years-younger employee. My opinion of Ray Evernham has dropped a lot in the past few months.

So I'm sitting here watching the very hot Danielle Peck sing the national anthem, and here's all I can think:

"She looks like she drew her eyebrows on her forehead with a Sharpie." :D

Here you go...just what NASCAR wants. Junior and Gordon racing 1-2 for the lead.

Doesn't sound good for Benny. And that sucks, even though he's no longer the irreverent one he used to be when he was with Jenkins and Jarrett -- Dallenbach has that role now. Still like him, though.

And 2MCM, I agree with you on Evernham. I thought he was supposed to be this good Christian who believed in Jesus Christ's principles and followed the Bible. (Allegedly) boning one of your drivers ain't. Neither is screwing over Mayfield the way he did, and it can be argued he left Casey Atwood out to dry as well.

Don't know him well so I could be speaking out my ass (as usual) but Evernham has never struck me as that good of a guy.
I'm still waiting to applaud the enterprising reporter who gets those divorce papers.

Publicly, Evernham's gone out of his way at times to praise the Savior. Maybe he's off the Christ life-raft now, who knows.
