There's a chance 15th in the standings would make him the best Evernham car.

 

Too bad he left a somewhat secure situation at MB2 (at least as far as making races) to take the money and prestige (?) of racing for Evernham.

How does it feel to start the season a minimum of 34 points behind Kirk Shelmerdine?

 

Plastic surgery just helps him fit in in the garage.

 

There goes Kurt Busch, enamoring himself to the NASCAR die hards once again.

 

You know, this guy spends the whole offseason thinking about how he's going to start rebuilding his image, then he goes and gets plastic surgery.

For his ears.

Wow.

 

Come on, you can't really blame the guy for having the surgery. He did have Dumbo ears, but why he found it necessary to tell everybody . . . That's what's nuts.

 

I'm guessing Chris Jenkins of the AP either could find nothing else to write about, or noticed Busch's ears looked smaller and was the only person with the je ne sais quoi (balls? guts? chicken feathers?) to ask about them.

But will it help him fit inside his helmet?

 

Actually, Kurt's ears have been the garage gossip and Jenkins was the only reporter brave enough to walk up and ask him about it.
After his story ran, Jenkins' was the toast of the media center.

 

Well, now we at least know who will be on the spot when Kyle Petty gets a haircut.

 

So, does that theory hold true to Gordon's divorce? That it only belongs in People?

I think you are dead wrong, Papa, there is a place for stories like that. And when done correctly, as Jenkins did with a light thing on Busch's ears. And remember, Busch was often, often called out by competitors and referred to as Dumbo. So his ears have been mentioned before.
