911th post on this thread came from Sxy on the eve of 9/11. How ... American. And, I guess, irrelevant.

    Carry on.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Eat a dick, Smoke! No wait, better not say eat, Lord knows that's in his wheelhouse. Suck a dick, Smoke!

Congrats! You're now the racing equivalent of the 1987 New York Giants!

I hate the Chase, but if the Chase created a way to make Stewart look bad, that's one thing in its favor.

Shit, will folks south of Petersburg understand it? The Sadler's are the living embodiment of a Virginia accent. Not even sure it's translatable in any other part of Dixie.

Did you just pluralize by using an apostrophe?

You ARE a Southerner! Stop denying it!

I have a blind spot in my mirror when it comes to pluarlizing family names. Always have. Stupidity knows no region.

I'd hope so. Emporia is south of Petersburg by about an hour, if that. People in peanut and tobaccer country understand him, and I'm sure as far south as Roanoke Rapids and possibly Rocky Mount they'd get him loud and clear.

So would people in Colonial Heights, but they wouldn't admit it.

So what odds are we at Jeers laying on Mark Martin driving the 88 in at least a dozen races next season? Even? 2:1? 1:5?

People in Rocky Mount don't talk like the Sadlers.

Not that I dislike Martin, but I wish he'd make up his mind already. Either you want to retire or don't. Either you want to run CTS or a full Cup season.

Jenna made some very good points in the story she wrote for Monday's cycle. In all honesty, I don't think Mark himself wants to retire.

    So why is he?

And if Roush and the Scotts lawn people want him in an F150 next year, why hasn't Roush even formally offered Martin a truck contract yet?

Canadian readers, whatchu think of the NASCAR deal to buy CASCAR?

I'm hoping it'll offer talented Canadian drivers an honest chance to move up to the big leagues. We've had a few guys run in Hooters Pro Cup and in a few truck races here and there but it's been almost impossible to attract attention from the NASCAR power brokers.

Young Petey Shepherd has been making some waves, and deservedly so, because if he's given the right equipment he can definitely compete on the same level as American drivers (plus he's got an outstanding pedigree). There are a lot of other guys, some even younger than Petey, who are just as good and worthy of a look.
