When does Barely Legal come out with their Girls Of NASCAR issue?

My suspicion: NBC is getting out of the racin' bidness and into the footballin' bidness, and its promos reflect that.

AJ Allmendinger to the #84 Red Bull Toyota ...

    Hm.

If this doesn't work out, it's going to fail in a spectacularly high-profile manner.

I like Allmendinger's odds of success better than those of Vickers.

I swear, Jayski has some messed up stuff on his Web site.

Today: Schumacher to run Cup road courses? Rumors that Michael Schumacher has signed a $10 million deal to drive the two NASCAR road races at Sears Point (Infineon) and Watkins Glen in 2007 could not be substantiated at [autoextremist.com] launch time.(autoextremist.com)(10-26-2006)

I seem to recall autoextremist having a reputation of being somewhat unreliable? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Schumacher thing is 100 percent bullshit. No way, no how.

Moddy to stop saying "Who beat?" every week? Rumors that Moddy is backing off his signature phrase could not be confirmed at launch time of this posting, so we just threw it out there anyway.

Bye bye Monte Carlo ... Yahoo is reporting that Chevy teams will run the Impala SS next season. Not surprising, given that the Monte Carlo doesn't sell at all anymore (and GM doesn't know how to market two-door coupes) and also because the MC's new-for-2006 nose looks just like the one the Impala received at the same time.

Yahoo is also reporting that Dodge teams will switch from the Charger to the Avenger (the new sedan that replaces the Stratus line).

Wow, now that is interesting. I hadn't seen anything about that. What if the 11th place driver out-performs all the Chasers? OUCH

The fiancee should know that Bass Pro Shops is God to some people. Not me, but to some.
