I don't know where to go with that one. All I'm saying is coaching a team to four straight victories with what he's working with Mo Cheeks doesn't deserve to be a lame duck anymore. Give him an extension or go in another direction.

Sounds a lot like what Isiah did right before he got his extension with the Knicks last season.

Team got on a roll, Isiah gets his extension, and we arrive here.

It's a nice run Cheeks and the Sixers are putting in, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

Mo Cheeks may be a lot of things, but Isaih he is not. The guy is in the final year of his contract and could be fired at any day with Larry Brown in the front office. I say give him a new deal or get rid of him now. The organization owes him that much seeing as he was an important part of their last championship and all.

And I would say wait until we get to the All-Star break and see where they are then. As you noted, two of the wins were against the Knicks, another against the T-Wolves and another against a banged up, and apparently unable to shoot free throws, Rockets.

Nothing against Cheeks, who I think is doing a nice job, but to extend him because he's on a 4-game winning streak seems a little knee-jerk.

You're right, wouldn't be smart just to base an extension on the four-game winning streak.

I didn't think the Sixers would win 20 games this season (not many others did either) and they're almost halfway there already. They beat a decent Milwaukee team on the road recently. Mo seems to have lit a fire under Dalembert. Iguadola is playing at a high level. Miller has been outstanding at the point lately. He's groomed Lou Williams to be a good player.

They just seem to play hard for Mo. I'd like to see them at least give him another year with this team, although they'll probably trade Miller away.

There's a guy who is somewhat flying under the radar; Andre Iguodala.

He's a nice piece for the team to build around.

I agree. There was a article in the back of last week's SI that said a lot of people don't see him as a franchise player, but I think he could be. Teams come in knowing he's the main guy, but he still performs. He can score, he can rebound, he can pass. Everyone knows what he can do in the open court. I really like him and think he's definitely the centerpiece to build around.

Does Shaq still play play in the NBA?

How great is it that both the Knicks and Heat suck adolescent donkey dick?

I don't have a link (or spell check for names), but apparently the Pistons traded Nazr Mohammed to whoever has Walter Hermann and Primo Brezec for Hermann and Brezec.

I know, I'm sorry that scoop is so horribly underperformed.

    That would be the Bobcats.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy about this move. They're both pretty solid.

Lakers v. Warriors coming down to the wire on ESPN.

Pacers 12-12. Magic number is 33 (though this .500 seesawism won't get them to 45 wins).

On another note, through 19 minutes of today's game against Boston, Toronto has 21 points.
