Wallace and Prince can check Pierce and Garnett.

The Celtics have no answer for Billups, but Detroit has no real answer for Allen. I would think each team after tonight should be searching for a tall guard who can contest shots.

Get me a D stopper, please.

I think Detroit envisions Afflalo as that guy, but it's not like he's going to unseat Hamilton any time soon.

Why Boston went to Pierce on their last shot is beyond me. He had a decent look, but Allen has to get that shot the way he was shooting tonight.

What a horrible end-of-game chess match. Doc Rivers versus Flip Saunders.

    He did and he didn't.

I wonder which of his teammates are the bad apples about yelling at people and undermining them on the floor.

Did you notice the length of the quotes? I tell you what, how many NBA players can say eight sentences in a row and stay with the same thought? I know the writer may have a little to do with that, but my opinion of Bosh really went up after reading this story.

I think he acted like a captain a little bit, but he should have done this call out behind closed doors. His heart is in the right place at least.

Writer didn't need to fix that. Bosh is a great speaker.

So who do you think he was referring to in that story?

Tony Parker is suing celebrity gossip site over allegations he had an affair with French model.

The last thing the Spurs probably wanted under the Christmas tree is a distraction.

Putting on my fanboy looser gap, I gotta say that at the least, these Pacers are never boring. I mean on the court, not just off of it. O'Brien loves Tinsley, and he's doing better with a sped-up offense. Even O'Neal is starting to get into the swing of things a little more. And who knew Mike Dunleavy Jr. would be on his way to becoming, as they say, a poor man's Dirk Nowitzki? Just like him, with no D either -- Mike Unleavy. When the Colts' season is over, the locals might get over some of the lingering animosity toward the team and realize this is a pretty fun bunch to watch.

  11. Surprised this thread didn't get bumped up higher in the rotation today.
While the Cavs-Heat game was a predictable snoozer, the Lakers-Suns game was a lot of fun to watch.
I was really impressed by L.A. Bryant looks the best I've seen in a while and the players around him are finally showing signs of of maturing into dependable players, though I think Odom is far too talented to disappear as often as he does (yes, I know he had 14 rebounds today, but he's a constant tease with the stats).

Luckily for Bryant, the return of Derek Fisher has helped him because now he has another veteran leader on the team to shoulder the load. And, Andrew Bynum looks phenomenal. He looks in great shape and is springier than I ever thought he'd be.

If Farmar and Bynum keep improving, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Lakers could beat any team in the West, outside of San Antonio (it'll take another couple seasons for that to happen). The Suns don't have the defense and the Mavericks, barring a trade, just don't have "it."

You're right: Fisher is the key to the engine. Takes a lot of pressure off a lot of others.
