    Ditch a great player?

Heaven forbid you have two great players on the same team and get them to play together.

Be thankful you're not Nene tonight. He had a malignant tumor removed from his right testicle last Monday, the 14th.

The good news is that the cancer was isolated, and hadn't spread.

Kobe is playing a much more team-oriented game this year and especially after Bynum was injured. 14 points, six rebounds and four assists tonight so far.

What an awful, awful, awful 3rd quarter by the Lakers. The Lakers offense looked stagnant. No one was moving or cutting off the ball, and Kobe started jacking the ball up left and right. Then when they finally did get shots, they bricked 'em. Lamar Odom is the biggest waste of space ever. If I ever hear another person say "Lamar Odom has so much talent and potential ..." I'm gonna find a brick and smash them in the nuts.
    Awful.

KG and Jesus don't play and Pierce scores 7. How many points do you think the Celtics put up?

    117.

Leon Powe (!?) led the way with a 25-11 night, while Rondo had 23, Tony Allen/Eddie House scored 20, and Posey had 9.

Even if it was against the god awful Heat, still an impressive offensive performance given the Big 3 being a non-factor.

Great one going at the "New Garden" between Celts and Spurs.

This could well be our Finals match.
Pierce is determined today for the Celtics.

I think the new-look Heat could be a solid team, not the 9-39 slime of the first half.

That doesn't mean that they're going to be making the playoffs. Certainly not. But that doesn't necessarily mean they're putting all their eggs in the Michael Beasley basket like last year's debacle, either.

Oh, and Blitz, fantastic game. Most underrated part was seeing how much Rondo has come into his own in the past year. A double-double for a point guard ... in assists and rebounds.

yeah, the guy had one whole point at some juncture and the talking heads couldn't shut up about him
    Praise, praise, praise.

Powe's story, which I wasn't familiar with, how as a youngster his family was burned out of their house - now that's inspiring to see the way this guy carries himself.
Apparently a younger sibling accidently caught the house on fire.
    Interesting.
And Powe's really got some talent.

None of it will matter in May when an exhausted Big 3 have to play a Pistons team who will likely dominate them in a seven game series. Think about it...Ray Allen's supposed to stay with Hamilton? Rajon Rondo with Billups? Pierce is supposed to dominate Tayshuan Prince, a guy who gives most guys like that fits all the time?
KG washes out Rasheed but McDyess owns K. Perkins. And Detroit's bench owns Boston's ... in short ... it won't matter when they lose to Detroit in 5 or 6.

I'm watching Wizards-Suns replay, and I swear, Washington should not be allowed to play another game until it gets rid of these diarrhea-colored unis.

Marcus Camby puts up a Camby-esque night. 8 points, 17 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks.
