Sam-I-Am joining the Celtic bandwagon. Apparently. I don't know about rich getting richer, but this can't hurt the men in green.

Is anyone NOT surprised by Cassell going to Boston?

    I should hope not.

In remembrance of Songbird, the Pacers are 24-36. I believe he said they were going to win 45 games. That means they will need to go on a 21-1 run the rest of the way.

Yet somehow the Pacers are only 2.5 games out of the eigth playoff spot. Ugh.

I wasn't surprised because of the seemingly strong relationship between KG/Sam and C's need for a backup PG, but I remember during the last Celtics-Clippers game, Cassell absolutely decked Rondo with an intentional foul as he was driving to the basket. Asked about payback a few days ago, Rondo jokingly said he'll be roughing up Cassell during practice.

This is a great move for the Celtics because, well, who the hell wants Eddie House running your team for lengthy stretches? Could do far worse than the competitive, fiesty Cassell.

Good point, they could do far worse. And he'll give them another option in the playoffs when Paul Pierce flakes out (like he will) and Ray Allen's old legs fall off after trying to chase Richard Hamilton around for an entire series.
I'd say they just got better.

I think Pierce is the least of their worries -- Rondo's inexperience and the health of Garnett (and to a lesser extent, Allen) are far more pressing issues.

Rondo's inexperience might be lesser of a problem now because of Cassell. Not just because of his on-floor help, but he'll be a solid resource off the court to help Rondo out. And if I'm a Boston fan, I have literally no worries whatsoever about Garnett's health. If that guy can walk, limp, crawl -- he'll be out there and he'll be the best post player on the floor every night in the East playoffs. No matter the opponent. Ray Allen's longevity and Paul Pierce being able to step up and hit big shots when all the money's on the line should be the biggest concerns. Bottom line.

I have Mr. Chris Bosh for you on Line 1 and Mr. Dwight Howard for you on Line 2. Would you like them to hold or should I patch them on through?

Mr. LeBron isn't a post player, and yeah, you can patch Dwight on through. Give him five years ... but until then, I'll take Garnett every single time.
    Read more carefully next time.
